This morning, the town posted notice of a Special Closed Session meeting scheduled for Wednesday 11/22 to discuss the "Public Employee Appointment" of an Interim Town Manager. The council met last Friday on the same topic, also in closed session. That previous meeting drew criticism on Nextdoor (click here and here) and resulted in an article here (and some letters to us as well, available here).
Residents appear cognizant that confidential personnel matters are properly held in closed sessions, but believe the general discussion of selecting an Interim Town Manager to marshal us out of the declared fiscal emergency ought to be a public conversation.
