MOFD Candidate's Half-Page Ad Falsely Claims Town Council Endorsement
Moraga-Orinda Fire District Division 1 candidate Greg Baitx recently ran a half-page ad in the Lamorinda Weekly, claiming he was endorsed by the Moraga Town Council.
It turns out Baitx's claimed endorsement is false.
An article in the paper's subsequent edition debunked the endorsement, quoting Mayor Dave Trotter as simply stating, "It is not true" and continuing to explain that, to his knowledge, the Town has never in its history and as a matter of policy does not endorse any particular candidate for elected position.
Baitx's campaign says they have removed the endorsement from campaign materials.
