Long Time, No See!

Yes, it's been awhile!
Town Hall events have been rather uneventful over the course of the past year or so, with a significant focus on state-mandated zoning and housing stock requirements over which the Town (and we residents) had little control or latitude beyond compliance. During that time, there also wasn't any behavior or activity of significant concern.
BUT:
We're now coming into election season and there are going to be a large number of tax-increase-related initiatives on the ballot (probably June and November) along with local Town Council and MOFD elections.
There's been a ruckus at recent Town Council meetings and in social media since the new Mayor took over the gavel just a couple of months ago and in his six weeks running the meetings.
Thus, we're going to be more active starting now.
A couple of initial articles on the latest are forthcoming. We'll send you a note when they're posted.
Here's a preview of some of the known or what we believe are likely tax initiatives in the pipeline:
Confirmed or Highly Likely
County sales tax increase of 5/8%
County sales tax increase of 1/2% (the BART bailout)
Moraga School District parcel tax
Likely
Acalanes Union High School District parcel tax (a retry of their previously failed one)
Possible (though not necessarily by November)
A number of Moraga-specific studies and initiatives underway, some of which that'll invariably end up in one or more additional tax measures:
Landscaping tax (the most likely one for November)
Parks & Recreation associated tax
Transportation related tax
Economic Development (or private-public partnership) tax
Transient Occupancy/Airbnb/VRBO tax
