We're willing to admit when our cynicism (based on some town officials' comments at last week's sinkhole ribbon cutting ceremony and the content of the town's recent press release) is misplaced:
Our contributors from the field and posts on Nextdoor report that the temporary bridge ribbon cutting and opening ceremony was well attended, positively received, and absent the awkward infrastructure, tax and fear commentary from last week’s sinkhole ceremony as was reported by the East Bay Times and by us here (see related "FUD" story).
